Sustainable rest and relaxation also requires a sustainable environment: we have set ourselves the goal of evaluating and optimizing processes, products and more, and always acting in the interests of sustainability. This applies to energy efficiency and regional delivery, but also how we treat guests and employees, the use of materials and the assumption of social responsibility.
In concrete terms, we work with ClimatePartner to document all emissions from our products and our company. To do this, we have calculated all the CO2 emissions – from the heating of our hotel rooms, the preparation of food in the restaurant, electricity consumption to the kilometers driven by our employees to the hotel. We offset all unavoidable emissions through internationally recognized climate protection projects and supported clean wind energy in Brazil this year.
In addition to climate neutrality, all of our hotels were awarded the Seal of Verified Sustainability since July 2022. The Institute for Sustainability & Economy awards this internationally recognized seal to companies that work efficiently in terms of energy, costs and materials, maintain a good working atmosphere for the team, and focus on the use of regional and renewable or recyclable raw materials.
